Director of Transportation
Jeramy Shays is Director of Transportation at the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), where she has been since September 2008. She oversees ACORE’s transportation activities in support of advancing all forms of renewable liquid transportation fuels and electric vehicles. This includes member recruitment and retention, as well as engagement through ACORE’s Transportation Advisory Committee’s convenings and deliverables. She works in coordination with ACORE’s communications team to ensure the facts about renewable transportation fuels and technology are effectively delivered to a variety of audiences, including ACORE members, policy makers, the press and the general public.
Prior to this role, Jeramy managed ACORE’s Power Generation & Infrastructure Initiative and policy activities, including speaker and content coordination for ACORE’s annual National Renewable Energy Policy Forum. Jeramy previously served as Director of Seminars and a Research Associate at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI). During her graduate and undergraduate schooling, Jeramy interned for General Electric, Environmental Defense Fund, National Wildlife Federation, The Wilderness Society, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of CT, a Member of Congress and the U.S. Embassy in Denmark.
Jeramy received a joint Law and Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) degree from Vermont Law School and Yale School of Environmental Studies, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Principia College. She is a member of the New York Bar.
