Lesley Hunter – Research Program Specialist
Ms. Hunter is responsible for developing and implementing the research program at the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), for which she conducts research and produces content on renewable energy markets and drivers.
At ACORE, she led a study identifying successful renewable energy practices in the U.S., is a lead author of the resulting report, Compendium of Best Practices: Sharing America’s Local and State Successes in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and administered the report’s dissemination in the U.S. and East Asia. She is also the lead researcher and author of Renewable Energy in America: Markets, Economic Development and Policy, for which she managed a research team to conduct an assessment of renewable energy activities in the 50 States.
Before joining ACORE, she held internships at the United Nations Foundation and the Global Energy Network Institute, where she researched and produced content on the smart grid and the Middle East’s solar development option.
She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where she studied International Relations, Anthropology and History, with regional foci in the Middle East and Europe.
