Turner Houston — Communications Director
Ms. Houston is responsible for all ACORE communications. She is creates and/or edits content on the ACORE.org website and for the many ACORE publications, including annual reports, press releases, promotional materials, member emails and newsletters, and conference reports.
Ms. Houston joined ACORE in January, 2009. She brings extensive experience in publication in multiple media, as well as in website creation and content development and management. She has worked at National Geographic, the Walt Disney Company, Broderbund Software, AOL and Discovery Communications. At AOL, she designed, implemented and ran the corporate intranet for AOL’s globally dispersed employee population of 20,000. At Discovery, she was the Executive Producer of Petfinder.com and responsible for every aspect of the world’s largest online pet adoption website.
Ms. Houston received her B.F.A. in Visual Communications from the Corcoran School of Art and Design, and an M.F.A. in Writing and Literature from Bennington College. She is fluent in French.
