Michael D. Ware

Michael Ware has over thirty years of experience in project and corporate finance. He is the founder of Advance Capital Markets, Inc., an investment firm that specializes in finance for the energy and power industries. Mr. Ware has served as a financial advisor to IPP companies, utilities as well as a number of successful entrepreneurial enterprises. He has arranged financings for wind, solar, biomass and geothermal projects and has guided several companies from start-up, through venture financing, and later growth stages including the IPO process. Prior to founding Advance, Mr. Ware was CEO of Reliance Energy Services, a subsidiary of a $3 billion investment company. Mr. Ware's career began in 1973 at the Federal Energy Office, where he was part of the team that implemented the U.S. Government's response to the 1973 oil embargo. In 1974, Mr. Ware started Energy Decisions, Inc., a highly successful energy-consulting firm. Mr. Ware serves as a director of several private and public companies. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Detroit and an M.A. degree from Ohio State University where he was a fellow at the Mershon Center for National Security Studies.
