Turner Houston - Internet Content Editorial Director

Ms. Houston is responsible for all aspects of member communications. She is creates and/or edits content on the ACORE.org website, and for various publications, including ACORE promotional materials, member emails and newsletters, annual reports, conference reports, and press releases.

Ms. Houston joined ACORE in January, 2009. She brings extensive experience in publication in multiple media, as well as in website creation and content management. She has worked at National Geographic, the Walt Disney Company, Broderbund Software, AOL and Discovery Communications. At AOL, she designed, implemented and ran the corporate intranet for AOL’s globally dispersed employee population of 20,000. At Discovery, she was the Executive Producer of Petfinder.com and responsible for every aspect of the world’s largest online pet adoption website.

Ms. Houston received her B.F.A. in Visual Communications from the Corcoran School of Art and Design, and an M.F.A. in Writing and Literature from Bennington College. She is fluent in French, having spent 5 years living and working in the south of France.
