This special report presents the results of ACORE’s renewable energy plan for Kansas, concluding that there is potential for a 20 GW program in a state that has 10 GW of peak load. Kansas could become the breakaway state that develops renewable energy for regional power needs, capturing economic benefits and jobs. The report is a result of a year of working closely with decision-makers and stakeholders in Kansas to assess in-state renewable energy development.
