(Senator Mark Udall tweeting during our #REpolicy Twitter Q&A)
Senator Udall showed he is well aware of the intersection between renewable energy and national security. Senator Udall has pushed for continued funding for renewable fuel programs for our military, which is something ACORE’s President and CEO, Admiral Dennis McGinn knows all about.
During the 30 minute Twitter Q&A, Senator Udall expressed his feelings about renewable energy policy as it related to the state of Colorado and the U.S. as a whole.
Senator Udall's represents the visions of Coloradoans and understands the need for more renewable energy through effective policies like Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) or Renewable Energy Standards (RES). Colorado continues to move toward using more renewable energy and is now requiring the state’s “rural electric cooperatives” to obtain 25% of their electricity from renewables by 2025.
ACORE wants to thank Senator Udall for participating in our Twitter Q&A. Keep up the great work, Senator Udall!
