Xcel: Wind Power Notches New Record in January

February 12 -- Colorado’s windy plains generated records for electricity production in January, Xcel Energy Inc. said Monday. About 1 a.m. on Jan. 16, Xcel’s Colorado system carried a record total of 1,960 megawatts of wind power for an hour, enough to support the demands of about 490,000 homes. >>View Article
