Michigan Theater Marquee To Run On Sun Power

September 16 -- Ann Arbor’s historic Michigan Theater is going solar. Or at least its marquee is. The solar energy installation marks the first renewable energy project by XSeed Energy, which is part of the Ann Arbor Solar Plan, according to The Ann Arbor News. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar America Cities program provided initial funding for XSeed, which resulted from a partnership between the city and Clean Energy Coalition. >>View Article

You live in the right state for it.  According to Environmental Entreprenuers, an environmental policy group that studies Green jobs, Minnesota ranked 10th in the nation in adding new clean-energy jobs in the first quarter of 2013. Goldman Sachs Bets Big on Solar

May 20 -- Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS  ) is investing in a $500 million fund from SolarCity (NASDAQ: SCTY  ) that will in help the company install 110 MW of solar. This is the latest in a growing trend of big banks betting on solar power. Erin Miller sat down with solar analyst Travis Hoium to see whether this is a big deal or business as usual. >>View Article
