(TSLA), the maker of electric cars run by billionaire Elon Musk, surged 24 percent after posting a first profit, beating estimates and earning a top evaluation for its Model S sedan from Consumer Reports. May 9 -- A unit of Warren Buffett’s MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co. plans to invest $1.9 billion to build additional wind farms in Iowa that would increase its wind generating capacity in the state by about half. GE Sees U.S. Wind-Turbine Installs Doubling Next Year After Lull

May 9 -- General Electric Co. (GE), the biggest U.S. supplier of wind turbines, expects domestic installations to double next year after the renewal of a tax credit boosts demand. Wind-farm developers including NextEra Energy Inc.
