Regional Roundtables
In 2005 ACORE sought to engage the renewable energy community with a series of regional roundtables about Phase II. Through this dialogue with stakeholders around the country, ACORE sought to identify the best innovative policies for successfully implementing renewable energy technologies, providing real solutions to America's energy challenges, and opportunities.
Following the regional meetings in July, August and September, a national conference in Washington, DC on October 17-18 showcased the best policy proposals to come out of the roundtables.
At the Roundtables
The regional meetings brought the atmosphere of the formative ACORE "steering committee" meetings. They were designed to facilitate open, creative dialogue, where all attendees were active participants.
Meetings included individual introductions, roundtable discussion on Phase II, and networking time for participants. In some cases, the meetings opened with a noted guest speaker. Based on regional arrangements, meetings spanned several hours to one half day.
