Washington, DC – The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) congratulates Chandra Brown, Vice President of Oregon Iron Works, CEO of United Streetcar, and Co-Chair of ACORE’s Transportation Initiative, on her appointment as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing with the U.S. Department of Commerce.

As a Co-Chair of ACORE’s Transportation Initiative, Chandra has provided crucial guidance to ACORE’s role in the transportation sector, especially in the role that transit plays in creating a multi-modal, renewable transportation system. Her unique background also provided ACORE’s Transportation Initiative an important voice on American manufacturing in the transportation sector.
