Washington, D.C. – The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) membership organization, is seeking a candidate to fill the current vacancy of President and Chief Executive Officer.
The position is located at ACORE’s Washington D.C. headquarters and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. To fill the role of President and CEO, ACORE seeks candidates who have demonstrated successful senior leadership and management responsibility in the for-profit, not-for-profit or government sectors and who have with experience related to the renewable energy industry.
Given ACORE’s position at the nexus of technology, finance and policy, it is important that any candidate for the executive office be capable of advocating the diverse interests of ACORE’s members through the leadership of a motivated and talented staff. Strong communications and interpersonal skills, and a track record as a skilled communicator before government, media, industry and consumer organizations are required. Candidates must also have prior experience and success in organizational fundraising. Prior service on or managing a board of directors is also important.
